She traveled to a PWI in Memphis, Tennessee: Rhodes College, to observe a professor who studies and teaches race to white students; to get to the root of the fear and debates across so many American cities.

Along with a pandemic, 2020 exposed the racism Asian Americans have faced in America for generations. We saw violent hate in disturbing videos, ignorant language on social media and a puzzling voicemail sent to an Asian news anchor went viral. Ashley Holt interviewed that news anchor, Michelle Li of KSDK in St. Louis about the incident, and how her experience mirrored her childhood and upbringing in this country.
